Silvered Leveaux

Amaury Leveaux has won the silver medal on the 50m butterfly at the European Short Course Swimming Championships, just one week after being crowned French champion. Some great news in expectation of the Olympics.

London. Like an obsession. More than seven months prior to the Olympics, Amaury Leveaux is already totally focused on the next Olympiad. And the least we can say is that he thrives on it. One week after being crowned at the French short course swimming championships, he almost did it again at the European championships.

In Angers, the tall (2.02 m) swimmer represented by Lagardère Unlimited won the 50m butterfly in 23 seconds and 60 hundredths. In Poland, he did even better, clinching the second spot in 22"74, just behind Ukrainian Andrey Govorov (22"70). He also reached the final on the 100m butterfly, finishing at the seventh place (50"79).

After winning this silver medal, Leveaux has now a few days of rest before preparing for his next goal: the French long course swimming course, in Dunkerque in March. Because the tickets for London will be delivered in the North of France.
