New York’s own Madison Square Garden will host on February 11, 2011 the BNP Paribas Showdown. An event to relive some of the greatest battles in tennis history, with four stars from the 80’s and the 90’s. John McEnroe will face his old rival Ivan Lendl in a eight-games match, before a highly-attended meeting between Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi, in three sets. Lendl, McEnroe, Agassi and Sampras have won a combined 37 Grand Slam titles and 295 ATP Tournaments. The BNP Paribas Showdown, which aims to promote the tennis among youngsters, is sponsored by StarGames and MSG Sports, with the support of the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
