Description

Created in 1969, the Legg Mason Tennis Classic is a tournament held in Washington D.C. every year, in the Rock Creek Park. This Lagardère Unlimited event has been won by some of the greatest names in the tennis history since its creation. The Australian Ken Rosewell, the US players Arthur Ashe, Jimmy Connors, André Agassi or Andy Roddick, who won three times in the Federal capital, have all triumphed in Washington.
Doubles specialists Bob and Mike Bryan have also won it three times, while their compatriot Mardy Fish, alongside Mark Knowles, is the 2010 title-holder. This tournament is a part of the ATP World Tour 500 series, and one of the unmissable events of the North American summer Tour.
