COPA DEL SOL

After a successful inaugural edition in 2010, the Copa del Sol will be held from January 27 to February 7, 2011 in Alicante and la Manga, Spain. Five of the top teams from Northern Europe will feature in this international football tournament: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia and Ukraine. The eight teams will be drawn into two groups of four. A good way to prepare during the winter break for the second phase of their league campaigns. The 2010 final couldn’t be held because of the bad weather conditions, and the finalists, Shakhtar Donetsk and CSKA Moscow, were both declared winners.
